![]() Restart Retroarch and XBM should display some menu icons. Now in Retroarch, go to Settings > Directory > Assets > / > Media > assets (this should be the assets folder on your USB device). Locate the assets folder inside it (goole Retroarch assets folder on Windows) and copy the folder to the root of your USB drive/stick. To fix this, first download a copy of the latest Retroarch for Windows. Therefore, you will likely see black boxes for theme icons. XBM view with KMFDManic's Retroarch does NOT have all the necessary theme assets. Head to Settings > User Interface > Appearance > Menu Icon Theme. Once switching, you will need to select a menu icon theme. This will switch Retroarch to the newer menu system that typically comes default with the desktop version. In Retroarch, go to Settings > Driver > Menu Driver, and select XMB. Using playlist buddy will allow you to create playlists directly on, and from, your usb drive. Also download the MAME thumbnails from the following URL and unzip them to a folder on your Windows box. Make sure you grab a valid DAT file for the arcade roms you have - google MAME DAT files. Keep a copy of the roms on your computer too, just incase.įollow the instructions there and grab Playlist Buddy from github. Once you have your ROMs, copy them to three folders on your USB device, a folder for each Retroarch core: snesmini-mame2003, snesmini-fba2016, snesmini-fba2012. You'll want to go with fairly recent versions of Hakchi 1 and 2 to get the best of your snesmini. And ensure you have clovercon-usb.hmod and tiny7zx-dynamic.hmod mods installed. Install the hmods recommended in the instructions on the compatiblity list page. There are a few Archive sites on the Internet with full reference sets for FBA and Mame2003. If you are handy with shell scripting and Linux, consider creating a Bash script that uses wget to download the roms individually. This allowed me to filter by Mame2003 and FBA2016/FBA2012. Arcade games are now handled exclusively by Retroarch. I chose the "zfast_lcd_720p.glsl"and "sharp-bilinear.gls" shader and its ok but i think there is much more possible to boost that up.I have decided to keep my snes menu limited to only console games (SNES mostly). I just want to have the best and crispy clear gfx possible in the retroarch for the snes/nes mini. I dont know how to deal with all that stuff to get the best and clear gfx for all my games.įor now i decided to use NOT some kind of scanlines or crt filter. Ive found some shader options in the quick menu and want to know what kind of shaders do YOU use? What are your settings etc?what are your preferences? Do you use shaders or something else ? Now i can use the original filters (settings crt filter.) from the original snes software. I managed to find the preset scanlines in retroarch and disabled the "Display Overlay" because i wanted to decide myself if i want some kind of crt scanlines or not. ![]()
